Profile
Debjani Sengupta is a gold medallist, first class first, Sangit Prabhakar Manipuri classical dancer. She has been dancing since the 1970s.
She was trained by Guru Eva Singha, the well-known Manipuri teacher and examiner of the Rabindra Bharati and Visva-Bharati Universities.
She has demonstrated Manipuri classical dance innumerable times in Calcutta, India and in The Netherlands.
Debjani has choreographed solo, group dances, dance dramas of Tagore and dance dramas written by herself since the 1970s.
Debjani can choreograph and direct shows based on Manipuri dance, Rabindrik dance and contemporary modern dance and is especially skilled at producing children’s shows.
